Booking a Consultation

Consultations with Dr. Kate are conducted by telephone only*—not by Zoom, FaceTime, or other video platforms. When you click Book Now, you will be taken to the Square Scheduling Calendar, where you can choose an available date and time that works for you. Payment is made securely through Square at the time of booking so that, once your appointment is reserved, you can simply focus on preparing for the consultation itself.  At the scheduled appointment time, the client is responsible for calling at the telephone number provided with the booking information.

To make the most of our time together, please have the following available during your consultation:

  • A complete list of your pet’s current foods—including brand, variety, treats and supplements.
  • Copies of relevant laboratory results, imaging reports, pathology reports or other diagnostic information from your regular veterinarian or specialty center.
  • A current list of medications and supplements, including dosage information.
  • A timeline of the presenting problem— when symptoms began and what treatments or diet changes have already been tried.
  • A list of your most important questions or concerns so we can be sure to address them during the alloted consultation time.

Please do not email laboratory results or medical records to Swift River Veterinary in advance. This is a small consultative practice without administrative staff available to receive, organize or review incoming records before appointments.  We can review the important findings together and discuss what they mean in the context of your pet’s overall health.  Please review the cancellation, rescheduling and refund information provided through Square when booking your appointment.

*If you live within 25 (or so) miles of New London, NH and would like to schedule an in-person consultation with your pet, please email us for more information.
